Anika Development Agency (ADA) is a national non governmental organisation based in Yei, Central Equatoria State, South Sudan. Founded in 2024, we are dedicated to empowering communities through socio-economic development, education and sustainable solutions that create lasting positive change.

The word Anika, meaning “Ours”, reflects our commitment to home grown solutions and community led initiatives that put local people at the centre of development.

We work across several counties in Central Equatoria State, including Juba, Lainya, Morobo, Terekeka, Yei River and Kajo-Keji, with a growing presence in Eastern and Western Equatoria States.

1. Communication for Development (C4D)
Supports community focused media and civic education through radio, mobile phones, social media and the internet. Promotes positive development via informing, educating, advocacy, dialogue and social learning. Programmes are research driven and participatory.

2. Agriculture & Innovation
Enhancing livelihoods, especially for youth and women, through agricultural projects, land management, value chains, market access, smart agriculture and nutrition initiatives. Advocates Farm Mechanization Technology (FMT) and cooperatives to increase productivity, income and employment.

3. Business & Entrepreneurship Development
Promotes sustainable economic growth by strengthening actors in food and cash crop sectors. Focuses on income generation, wealth creation and local economic empowerment for youth, women and marginalized groups using market systems, capacity building and public-private partnerships.

4. Education and Human Capital Development
Improving literacy, digital skills, vocational training and access to higher education. Investing in educational infrastructure and professional development to empower individuals and strengthen communities.

5. Environment and Climate Management
Promoting environmental sustainability and climate resilience through clean energy, water, sanitation and infrastructure access. Supports climate smart practices, green economy solutions, policy development and community led innovations.
